The Venue

The wedding venue is Bal Samand Lake Palace, located in the princely city of Jodhpur in Rajasthan. We have planned your stay there for November 22nd—24th. It is a magnificent red stone palace-turned-hotel nestled amidst the serene surroundings of a picturesque lake. The hotel was built by Maharaja Jaswant Singh I of Jodhpur in the 17th century and was used as the Maharaja's hunting palace. It flanks the Bal Samand Lake, which it is named after, a lake that was built in the 12th century and is considered the first man-made lake in India. This majestic palace is set amidst 60 acres of private estate filled with fruit orchards, manicured lawns and flower gardens. We are absolutely thrilled to be hosting you at Bal Samand!

More importantly, the venue is very close to our hearts as this is where we started dating.

How to Get There?

Trains and flights are also available from Mumbai and Jaipur (both cities have international airports).

Mandore Express, 12461 for Delhi to Jodhpur and 22996 for the return leg, is a convenient overnight train option. It starts at 9:00 PM from Delhi Cantt and arrives in Jodhpur by 8:00 AM; for the return leg it departs from Jodhpur at 8:15 PM and reaches Delhi Cantt by 6:00 AM.

Indigo and Air India direct flights ply daily between Delhi and Jodhpur. Flights are only 1 hour 20 minutes in duration. Jodhpur is a defence airport; hence, only morning flights are allowed. We recommend booking flights as soon as possible, given the tourist season during the winter months. Following are links to the available flights from Delhi: â€‹

Once You're There

Once You're There

If this is your first time visiting Jodhpur, we recommend coming a few days in advance or extending your stay to enjoy the city's heritage. The days of the wedding events, 22nd and 23rd November, will be full of events. Hence, we would not recommend planning any sightseeing during those two days. We’re excited to share a few of our favourite places in the city with you:

Mehrangarh Fort

A 15th-century majestic fort located at the heart of the old city is a must-visit.
